Honorary Consul of The Netherlands welcomed at the Barcelona offices

Our NewCo offices in Barcelona welcomed last week the Honorary Consul of The Netherlands, Mr. Dirk Kremer, for a long-awaited visit.

Since the start of its operations in Barcelona in 2015, NewCo has been a reference as key employer for Dutch (and Belgian) agents in Barcelona. An important part of our current 155+ employees in Barcelona have the Dutch nationality and were delighted by his visit.

The Honorary Consul’s visit is yet another recognition of NewCo Communications being the largest near- and offshore BPO player in Belgium, that is employing an extensive number of native Dutch speakers in its Barcelona and Casablanca offices to service both Belgian and Dutch clients.

Mr. Kremer took the time to talk to his fellow Dutch citizens, and was pleased to see the interest the agents took in his visit.

CEO, Marc Ternest was thrilled, and stated that “the visit from Mr. Kremer gives us great pleasure and highlights the interest from, and strong link with the Dutch entrepreneurial community.”

Consul of Belgium visits NewCo offices in Barcelona

On Tuesday 10th of July, we had the honour to welcome the Belgian Consul in Barcelona, Didier Verwaerde, at our offices in Barcelona.

Since NewCo started its operations in Barcelona in 2015, it has rapidly become a reference as key employer for Dutch and Belgian agents in Barcelona. The Consul’s visit was part of that recognition and he took particular interest in NewCo Communications’ business model, being the largest near- and offshore BPO player in Belgium that is employing a vast number of native Dutch and French speakers in their Barcelona and Casablanca offices.

During his floor visit Mr. Verwaerde had the chance to meet and greet his fellow Belgian citizens, who were delighted by his presence.

CEO, Marc Ternest pointed out that “a visit from the Belgian Consul gives us great pride and is a clear sign of recognition for NewCo being part of the Belgian community in Barcelona. We wish to sincerely thank the Consul for his visit and look forward to strengthen our relationship even further”.

NewCo expands services for Transatel on their connected car offers

Partnering with NewCo Communications since 2014, Transatel has recently launched a global mobile data service for selected car manufacturers, to enable on-board Wi-Fi and infotainment services. The data service is accessible to end users in their automobiles under the brand: Ubigi®.

NewCo will support the activation of the built-in Ubigi® SIM cards, delivering a Monday to Saturday general customer service from their Casablanca and Barcelona offices.  As of the beginning of July 2018, a fully-trained multi-lingual team of agents is servicing car owners in the UK, Italy, and Germany.

NewCo’s Summit - “Contact Centers, The Day After Tomorrow” - great success

On June 11th, NewCo Communications organized its “Contact Centers, The Day After Tomorrow” Summit. A keynote session, with two highly influential guest speakers who shared their views on the future of the Contact Center Business and Customer Experiences.

Firstly Steven Van Belleghem, a thought leader on the transformation of customer relationships and the future of marketing, elaborated on the insights of his latest book, “Customers, The Day After Tomorrow”, and the effect it has on the Contact Center business model.  He highlighted the importance of the human interface in a tech-dominated world, where artificial intelligence is becoming more and more present.  But as Steven Van Belleghem pointed out, humans will remain key, and in his own words: “computers confirm, people can smile”.

As second guest speaker, Siegfried Schallenmüller, General Manager for Customer Experience in Europe for Dimension Data, built further on Van Belleghems’ discourse, and deep dived into the digital customer experience and how organizations will need to adapt to the new reality of artificial Intelligence and hyper-personalization. He shared his inspiring views on this transformation that will drive a new class of consumer experiences.

NewCo’s CEO, Marc Ternest, was pleased to see the interest our Summit generated amongst the industry. The insights presented during both keynotes where exactly inline with NewCo’s vision of the future.  Marc Ternest  summarized by stating that “it gives a clear view on what NewCo Communications stands for and how we position ourselves as a key partner in this complex digital transformation process”.

NewCo Communications 100% GDPR compliant in Belgium, Spain and Morocco

NewCo Communication’s CEO, Marc Ternest, is delighted to announce that NewCo has achieved full GDPR compliancy for NewCo HQ and both its operational sites in Barcelona and Casablanca.

He praises the involvement of the entire company during the GDPR process: “I’d like to congratulate our teams on the completion of this project. It took hundreds of hours of work, including the creation of new processes and thorough internal data and security audits. The collaboration with Interaction Force, and especially our DPO Karen Rummens, has been one of the key factors to this success.”

Mrs. Karen Rummens, NewCo’s certified DPO states: “Together with NewCo’s strong GDPR teams in Casablanca and Barcelona we now can act on and exercise all the provisions under the GDPR legislation and process sensitive personal data according to contractual agreements with our controllers and the different articles of the GDPR legislation”.

NewCo successfully hosts its first Annual Strategy Days

From the 20th until the 22nd of March 2018 NewCo organised its first Annual Strategy Days at beautiful Gran Conil Hotel&Spa in Conil de la Frontera in the South of Spain.

The programme started off with a key note speech by Jeff De Graef, digital CX evangelist from Dimension Data, leading experts in Customer Experience benchmarking, who elaborated on the digital transformation in the contact centre business and digital trends that will impact workspaces for tomorrow.

The session was followed by NewCo’s C.E.O, Marc Ternest, who deep dived into the company’s vision of the future and shared NewCo’s 2018 strategy with the attendees.

During the second day of the event, the main focus went to first Client Advisory Board Meeting. We gave our clients and invited leaders in the customer experience industry, the chance to share their point of view and collect their highly valued feedback during an open discussion that led to new ideas and insights that will be implemented in the near future.

As NewCo’s equestrian jumping team was taking part in the International Sunshine Tour, held at the adjacent Montenmedio Golf&Country Club, our guests were invited to visit the stables and see the horses in action and enjoy an introduction to the game of golf.

C.E.O. Marc Ternest pointed out that “we are really delighted that our clients took the time to join us and we had the chance to have their first handed feedback during the Client Advisory Board. It will help NewCo to create stronger synergies, and solutions based on real needs.”

The next Strategy Days will be held in Q1 2019.
